Gluten-free energy bar based on soy. It contains the unique disaccharide Palatinose™ with a lower glycemic index and gradual energy release. Additionally, it is enriched with BCAA, Beta-Alanine, and lecithin. Recommended for sports performance lasting longer than 1.5 hours.

PALATINOSE™

Unique disaccharide isomaltulose (PALATINOSE™) is the first slow-digesting sugar that provides the muscles and brain with the same amount of energy (4 kcal/g) as sucrose or glucose, but over a longer period of time. While regular sugar or glucose is used by the body very quickly and blood sugar levels drop back to baseline after about 60 minutes, the carbohydrate isomaltulose is metabolized much more slowly and its level in the blood is fully depleted only after 2 hours.

BCAA - Branched-Chain Amino Acids

Studies show that BCAA can reduce feelings of fatigue and increase endurance performance. BCAA are quickly absorbed by the body and can be used as:

• Source of energy during muscle glycogen depletion
• Protection of existing muscle tissue (anticatabolic effect)
• Ready building blocks for the construction of new muscle tissue (anabolic effect)

BETA-ALANINE

Research shows that taking a minimum of 3.2g of β-alanine daily for 4 weeks leads to an increase in β-alanine stores, resulting in a significant increase in carnosine content in muscles. (Hill et al. 2007, Harris et al. 2007). According to these studies, carnosine levels can increase by up to 80% after 10 weeks. Carnosine is a substance with high buffering capacity, protecting cells against oxidative stress, and perhaps the most well-known "mysterious" property of carnosine is its ability to prolong the lifespan of exhausted cells that are doomed to die. Sometimes carnosine is referred to as the "longevity factor".

Athletes particularly use it for its ability to regulate muscle pH. During intense exertion, large amounts of protons (H+) accumulate in the body, and muscle cells are exposed to an increasingly acidic environment. This decreases the ability of muscle fibers to contract, reducing performance and strength. According to this theory, with a higher concentration of carnosine, the buffering capacity increases, leading to improved performance, later onset of fatigue, and delayed exhaustion (Hill et al. 2006).

Ingredients of one bar (50 g): soy semolina 25% (12.5 g), sugar, glucose syrup, vegetable oils (shea oil, coconut oil), isomaltulose* Palatinose™ 10% (5 g), fondant (sugar, glucose syrup, drinking water), dried skimmed milk, dried whey, BCAA branched-chain amino acid blend 1.6% (800 mg) [L-leucine 0.8% (400 mg), L-valine 0.4% (200 mg), L-isoleucine 0.4% (200 mg)], L-carnosine 0.5% (250 mg), emulsifier soy lecithin, rum flavor, coconut flavor. *Isomaltulose is a source of glucose and fructose.
